I am appalled this is happening in my home state.  I want Time Warner to have to compete against anyone else in the broadband market in municipality.  It galls me to no end that Time Warner sits on its hind end and provides inferior service while enjoying a monopoly blessed by my own city government.

Interesting idea.  Not sure it’s a sound or safe one for rural America.

Here’s A New Way Facebook Is Pushing You To Share Your Contact Information

I use Twitter much more these days than I do Facebook.  I’ve locked down ally personal information months ago and I did not include phone or address info even then. If a “friend” I don’t personally know sends a request for such information, the non response silence will be deafening.

I was a bit surprised to read an article on net neutrality from my local metropolitan newspaper.  Good balanced one too.

I so want to cut the cord with Time Warner.  Google Fibre needs to come to my home town.

Not sure what I need to do to take action to preserve an open internet. Appealing to Supreme Court probably not a good idea. Suppose I’ll write my Congressmen, although the ISPs and cable industry have probably already bought them.
